At Total Commerce, we are fortunate to work alongside exceptional creative partners. One of those partners is The Unified Field, the independent creative studio founded by Jonathan and Doron.

Together, Jonathan and Doron created the brand identity, creative direction and digital design for Vacanza, a fragrance brand inspired by travel, memory and the idea of bringing home a piece of a place.

Our role was to translate that vision into a fully developed ecommerce experience.

Introducing The Unified Field

The Unified Field is a creative studio led by Jonathan and Doron.

Their approach begins with understanding the essential idea behind a brand before making decisions about typography, colour, imagery or layout.

As they explain:

“For us, every project starts by finding the brand’s essence. We try to understand what makes it meaningful, the story it wants to tell, and the feeling people should take away.”

For Vacanza, that essence was captured in one simple idea: bringing home a piece of a place.

That idea became the foundation for the entire brand and ecommerce design.

Creating a fragrance brand inspired by travel and memory

Vacanza was created around the belief that fragrance can capture the emotional experience of travel.

Each scent is inspired by a real destination and designed to help customers reconnect with the atmosphere, memories and feeling of somewhere else.

The Unified Field translated that idea into a distinctive visual language influenced by nostalgic travel references, including postcards, souvenirs and the objects people keep long after a trip has ended.

The resulting brand world feels transportive without relying on predictable travel imagery.

Rather than simply showing destinations, the design evokes the experience of remembering them.

This gives Vacanza a clear and recognisable position within the fragrance market while also creating a flexible creative system that can support future products, campaigns and destinations.

Why strong ecommerce design starts with brand strategy

A successful ecommerce redesign is not simply a visual refresh.

Before choosing a Shopify theme, redesigning a homepage or rebuilding a product page, a brand needs to understand what it wants customers to feel and remember.

The Unified Field’s work for Vacanza demonstrates the value of beginning with a strong central idea.

Every part of the identity supports the same concept. The typography, imagery, layout and tone all contribute to a cohesive expression of travel, nostalgia and memory.

The Unified Field created Vacanza’s brand identity and digital design. Total Commerce developed that work into a functioning ecommerce website.

This is a different role from designing the experience.

Our responsibility was to preserve the creative intention while ensuring that the website worked effectively across devices, browsers and customer journeys.

That included translating the layouts into responsive ecommerce templates, maintaining the relationship between typography and imagery, implementing movement and interaction, and ensuring that the product discovery and purchasing experience remained clear.

For highly designed ecommerce websites, development cannot be treated as a purely technical exercise.

Small decisions about spacing, animation, image behaviour, mobile layouts and content hierarchy can materially change how a design feels once it moves from a static concept into a live browser.

The goal is not to simplify the design until it fits a standard template.

The goal is to develop the creative vision faithfully while still delivering the performance, usability and functionality required of an ecommerce website.
